paralyzed by options? here's one tip to help you move forward

We live in a world of options. You may have heard of the Paradox of Choice (outlined here in a brilliant study with jam) that explains how many choices and options seem like a good thing, but in reality, it can be become extremely debilitating. And not only that! Once you DO make a choice, when you've had more options to choose from you're actually less satisfied with the choice you've made. You end up continually asking yourself "what if I had chosen that"... and focus on regret, self-blame and opportunity costs.

So in this world of so many options, how can you choose in a way that maximizes your happiness? How can you make the RIGHT choice?

You have to get in touch with your gut, your intuition, and STOP THINKING LOGICALLY.

You should make choices that bring you excitement, are aligned with the essence of your being, and make you feel passionate and alive.

So, the next time you're faced with a choice, I want you to simplify your choice and ask yourself...

Is this OPTION AN ABSOLUTE I-FEEL-IT-IN-MY-SOUL YES COMPARED TO THE OTHER OPTIONS? If not, THEN it's a NO!

To implement this tactic, you can imagine living in that "option" and experience the feeling you'd have if you did so. How do you feel? Do it with the next option. How does that feel in comparison? Which one feels more like an "ABSOLUTE I-FEEL-IT-IN-MY-SOUL YES"?

Practice using this tactic when you're faced with many options, or feeling unsure of what to do. In your gut, is this opportunity, relationship, option... a ABSOLUTE I-FEEL-IT-IN-MY-SOUL YES compared to the rest?
